Description

This is a full-time unionized position. Applicants must be a member in good standing with UA local 787 and hold a valid 313A Refrigeration Journeyman Designation or currently enrolled in 313A Apprenticeship.
As our HVAC Service Technician you:
- Perform installations of HVAC equipment and systems
- Identify, troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and/or failures to HVAC equipment
- Plan and perform routinely scheduled preventative maintenance to HVAC equipment and systems – identifying any issues and recommending resolutions
- Complete repairs in a timely manner
- Always makes safety a priority and work in compliance with the provisions of the Act and all regulations
- Support the Service Manager to provide clients with the most efficient solutions
- Facilitate strong relationships with vendors and clients, ensuring Plan Groups strong reputation is maintained
- Available for regular working hours as well as on-call work
- Have a clean drivers abstract and are comfortable commuting through the GTA
Our ideal candidate has:
- Membership in good standing with the Ontario Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association, the UA local 787
- 313A Refrigeration Journeyman Designation or currently enrolled in 313A Apprenticeship.
- G1 Gas license an asset
- WHMIS and Fall Arrest an asset
- Experience in troubleshooting, repairing and installing HVAC systems in small, medium and large commercial buildings
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail a must
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
