Billing Excellence Lead – Hiscox US
Overview:
The Billing Excellence Lead is responsible for driving continuous improvement and process excellence within the billing function. This role focuses on transformation, innovation, and strategic enablement—leading process design, improvement projects, and supporting programs run through the Transformation Office and Operations Delivery. The role is critical to enabling scalable, customer-centric billing operations that support business growth and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead continuous improvement efforts for billing processes, identifying and implementing best practices and automation opportunities.
Design and optimize billing workflows to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience.
Act as SME for billing on transformation programs, collaborating with the Transformation Office and cross-functional teams.
Support the implementation of new billing technologies, ensuring alignment with operational goals and compliance standards.
Support reconciliation processes between billing systems, payments, and general ledger
Analyze billing data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
Develop and deliver training and change management initiatives to embed process improvements.
Track and report on improvement outcomes, including cost savings, cycle time reduction, and customer satisfaction.
Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for billing excellence initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field.
5+ years’ experience in process improvement or billing excellence roles, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification preferred.
Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience with billing systems, automation tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).

Salary Range: $100-$120k
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment
