We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician III who is energetic, can multi-task and problem solve, and has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting.
Schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, with flexibility to work overtime if needed.
Primary Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician III will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, respond to equipment breakdowns and perform other repairs to include welding, light plumbing, and electrical issues.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs to control and maintain facility equipment, infrastructure, and operations.
- Work on production equipment that includes PLCs, extruders, braiders, compressors and chillers.
- Regularly inspect and evaluate equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely.
- Provide written details of work performed on Work Order forms and other documents.
- Perform, facilitate, and manage special projects assigned in time set for each project.
- Maintain records on equipment status and maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and assets per a set schedule.
- Determine materials needed for most frequently occurring repair work, prepare requisitions, and monitor inventory.
- Train less experienced Maintenance Technicians.
- Develop plans and estimates for electrical projects; includes determining time, equipment, and human and material resources needed to complete the work.
- Prepare written reports on ongoing projects and on the condition of machinery.
- Follow safety rules and always wear PPE.
- Perform other maintenance related work as assigned and required.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, electrical diagnostic equipment, and use a computer.
- Ability to read / interpret technical documents.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic welding skills are a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience as an Electrician preferred.
- Experience working with 460-volt equipment.
- Plumbing experience is a plus.
- Any training or certifications are a plus.
