Position: Weld Supervisor
Location: Cameron Park, CA
Status: Full Time
Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Assigns job tasks to the welding department personnel assuring all assigned work tasks are completed in accordance with approved or accepted data and with serviceable materials. Requires cohesive coordination and communication with Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering and other department managers to ensure that the welding production targets are aligned with the overall project plan. Leading by example to ensure the department employees maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, scheduling and profitability.
Supervises the training and overall performance of welding employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Constantly monitor crew activities to ensure efficient, safe operations
- Make recommendations for revised procedures when problems are encountered
- Maintain statistical reporting
- Inventory and restock welding and fabrication supplies
- Work under direction of Fabrication Manager
- Supervise employees in weld shop department
- Operate welding equipment
- Other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8-10 years’ welding experience in a precision manufacturing environment
- Familiarity of operation of the following equipment: TIG and MIG welder, Oxy/ Acetylene torch, grinders, hand drill, drill press, manual mill, manual lathe, resistance welders, forklift, and band saw.
- Capable of reading and understanding blue prints, drawings, sketches, specifications and manuals.
- Capable of sampling parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.
- Time management skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Advanced math skills
- AWS in D1.1 and D17.1 welding certificates
