Associate Retirement Income Consultant (ARIC)
The Associate Retirement Income Consultant (ARIC) provides retirement education and advice to the organization's clients and prospects. The ARIC educates and helps individuals navigate TIAA’s retirement income options and, where appropriate, provides advice related to qualified and non-qualified product and investment needs. The typical consultant spends most of their time fielding inbound calls and the remainder of their time completing follow-up activities with clients, prospects, and internal partners. The role is responsible for assisting clients implement diversified retirement income solutions, immediate annuity application case management, applicable retirement plan investment advice, referral generation, and other goals that ensure a good client experience. In addition to their sales responsibilities, the consultant performs many of the administrative functions related to following up and closing both education and growth-related lifetime income annuity opportunities. All licenses must be obtained within 120 days from start date.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Take inbound calls from clients and prospects
- Make prospecting and follow-up outreaches to clients and prospects
- Provide product and investment education and implement appropriate retirement income solutions
- Identify qualified referral opportunities to appropriate internal business partners
- Ensure a smooth client transition into retirement by supporting clients through the lifetime income application process
- Possess a solid understanding of TIAA’s retirement plan and individual products, retirement planning, income replacement options, and account opening requirements and processes
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities to ensure clients complete all steps to open and fund an account. This will include resolving not-in-good-order cases (NIGOs) or any other barriers to establishing an account
- Maintain records of all customer interactions including inquiries, complaints, actions taken, etc. and ensure timely communication to relevant business partners
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred

- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
FINRA Registrations
- SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63
Licenses and Certifications
- Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers required within 120 Days

2026-10-09Base Pay Range: $31.54/hr - $36.68/hrActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
