Internship - Workstation Architect

The Workstation Architects team is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the workstation architecture and computing infrastructure used across the organisation. The team defines and enforces standards for hardware, software, operating systems, configuration management, security, and endpoint lifecycle management. We work closely with other IT teams to ensure that workplace technologies support business objectives, security requirements, and operational excellence.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise workstation architecture, endpoint management, and modern workplace technologies.

YOUR ROLE

Phase 1: Workstation Architecture Discovery and Assessment

The first part of the internship will focus on understanding the processes, tools, and technical components involved in delivering corporate workstations that comply with company standards.

The intern will work alongside the Workstation Architects team to:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of the current workstation build and deployment architecture.
• Analyze the existing processes and technical components involved in workstation provisioning and lifecycle management, including associated security controls.
• Review and assess the new Modern Management architecture currently being implemented.
• Evaluate existing documentation, procedures, operational follow-up processes, and reporting practices.
• Identify potential gaps, risks, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement.
• Produce a detailed assessment of the current workstation architecture.
• Document the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and potential risks associated with both current and future architectures.
• Propose enhancements, adaptations, and optimization opportunities.
• Research and recommend alternative solutions and approaches where appropriate.
• Deliver recommendations for improvements and optimization initiatives.

Phase 2: Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management

The second part of the internship will focus on modern endpoint management and the capabilities required to manage the organization’s fleet of devices through Microsoft Intune.

The intern will participate in the analysis and design of management solutions covering:

• Corporate laptops and desktop PCs.
• Mobile devices (iOS and Android).
• Endpoint configuration and compliance policies.
• Application deployment and lifecycle management.
• Device security and governance.
• Reporting and monitoring capabilities.
• Modern management best practices and automation opportunities.
• Contribute to the definition of best practices for Modern Management.
• Provide recommendations regarding Microsoft Intune management strategies across all endpoint categories.
• Present findings, recommendations, and proposals to the Workstation Architects team and key stakeholders.

YOUR PROFILE

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Strong interest in enterprise workplace technologies and endpoint management.

• Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.

• Ability to document technical processes clearly and accurately.

• Interest in Microsoft technologies, particularly Windows, Microsoft Intune, and modern workplace solutions.

• Good communication skills and ability to work within an international environment.

• Fluent in English; French is an asset.

• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
