We are seeking a talented individual to join our People and Investment at Marsh .This role will be based in Gurugram/Noida/Pune.This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Principal Engineer-IT Quality & Assurance Testing UI/Web/API Testing

An expert in leveraging modern automation tools and AI-assisted testing to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable automation solutions. Understanding industry trends, best practices, and implementing the right approaches to deliver high-quality, efficient, and intelligent test automation.

We will count on you to:

• Strong expertise in UI/Web and API Automationusing Playwright and TestComplete for desktop applications with proven experience in building scalable test frameworks.·      
• Proficiency in programming languagessuch as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java for test automation scripting and framework development.·     
•   Advanced knowledge of automation best practicesincluding Page Object Model, Data-Driven Testing, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber.·     
•   Proven ability to leverage AI tools effectivelyin daily testing tasks such as using GitHub Copilot for code generation, prompt engineering for test case design, and AI-assisted debugging and test maintenance.·     
•   Expertise with TestCompletefor desktop application automation including object identification, keyword-driven testing, and advanced scripting.·      
• Strong understanding of Playwrightfor modern web browser automation, including cross-browser testing, mobile web testing, and visual regression testing.·     
•   API testing and integration expertise with strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON/XML payloads, SQL-based data validation, and tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.·      
• Good knowledge of database testingincluding SQL, data validation, and backend data verification for end-to-end automation scenarios.·      
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline integrationincluding GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD best practices for test automation.·       Understanding of AI security and quality risksin automated testing including prompt injection, jailbreaks, and responsible AI testing practices.·      
• Experience building and maintaining scalable automation frameworksthat are maintainable, reusable, and adaptable to changing requirements.·   
•   Proven experience managing, mentoring and developing QA/Automation teams.

What you need to have?

• ·  7+ years' experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering with proven expertise in UI/Web/API automation.·      
• 5+ years' hands-on experience with Playwright, TestComplete, or similar modern automation frameworks.·      
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Java for test automation.·      
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable, enterprise-grade automation frameworks.·      
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile, test strategy, test planning, risk management, defect management and quality metrics.·    
•    Experience defining testing strategies for Web/UI, API, Database, and AI-powered applications.·      
• Experience with modern DevOps and test automation practices, including Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline integration.·      
• Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to enhance test automation productivity and code quality.·       Knowledge of AI-assisted test case design, prompt engineering for quality assurance, and responsible AI testing principles.·      
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge for comprehensive data validation.·   
•     Good understanding of API testing (REST APIs), SQL databases, and advanced end-to-end testing scenarios.·    
•    Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and introduce effective testing solutions.

•   Deep knowledge of TestComplete capabilities including object spy, object identification, and advanced desktop automation.·       Expertise in API testing frameworks (REST Assured, Postman scripting) with ability to integrate into CI/CD pipelines.·     
•   Proven track record of mentoring teams on AI-assisted development and testing methodologies.·     
•   Experience implementing AI-powered test optimization strategies and automated test maintenance using AI tools.·     
•   Strong understanding of prompt engineering principles and their application to quality assurance processes.·   
•     Knowledge of AI security testing, hallucination detection, and safety validation in AI-driven applications.·     
•   Experience with advanced testing patterns: data-driven testing, behavior-driven development, and contract testing.·     
•   Ability to architect and implement modern test frameworks that leverage AI for efficiency and scalability.
