About the Role
As a Distinguished Consultant, Client Engagement Lead for FIS Balance Sheet Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a senior leader across strategic consulting engagements. You will align client objectives, delivery outcomes, solution quality, and business goals while guiding complex balance sheet management transformation initiatives. Working across consulting, delivery, product, sales, and executive stakeholders, you will help drive successful implementations, strengthen client relationships, and support long-term account growth. Success in this role is measured through client satisfaction, delivery excellence, solution adoption, and business impact.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead executive-level client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor across strategic balance sheet management engagements.
- Guide complex transformation programs involving risk, finance, treasury, and technology stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise across asset and liability management, funds transfer pricing, liquidity risk, market risk, and regulatory initiatives.
- Oversee engagement governance, including risk management, issue resolution, escalation handling, and executive reporting.
- Support solution strategy, requirements definition, operating model alignment, data readiness, testing, and production deployment.
- Partner with project managers, consultants, and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation outcomes.
- Facilitate steering committees, executive workshops, and strategic decision-making forums.
- Contribute to account expansion by identifying opportunities to improve adoption, business value, and solution utilization.
- Support pre-sales activities through solution positioning, demonstrations, proposals, and client presentations.
- Mentor consulting teams and contribute to practice development through standards, reusable assets, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a skills-based equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience leading consulting engagements, enterprise software implementations, or financial services transformation programs.
- Deep expertise in one or more balance sheet management disciplines, including asset and liability management, liquidity risk, funds transfer pricing, market risk, treasury, or regulatory change.
- Strong understanding of banking risk and finance processes, financial instruments, and enterprise data management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and manage complex stakeholder environments across multiple organizations.
- Experience overseeing implementation lifecycles, including requirements management, solution design, data migration, integration, testing, training, and post-production support.
- Advanced communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, and consultative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead through influence, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes in matrixed and fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced qualification in a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in risk management, treasury, financial services, project management, or consulting methodologies.
- Experience supporting RFP responses, business case development, solution demonstrations, and value-based client conversations.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting banking, treasury, liquidity, and balance sheet management functions.
- Experience developing consulting methodologies, delivery standards, or practice-wide capability initiatives.
- Proficiency in additional regional languages relevant to client engagements.
