Description
Our client, a 100+ bed healthcare facility located about 45 mins from Hendersonville, NC in the Southwestern part of NC near the Blue Ridge foothills, has a need for a Physical Therapist to join their team. This is an Inpatient PT position.
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and functional status.
- Develops and updates an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, based on goals and capabilities.
- Plans, prepares, and carries out evidence-based interventions to maintain, improve, or restore function; alleviate pain; and prevent dysfunction.
- Delivers therapy using standard PT techniques and modalities appropriate to patient age and condition (e.g., moist heat/cold, ultrasound, UV/IR lamps, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy).
- Administers physical agents and operates PT equipment safely; performs necessary set-up and checks.
- Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommends modifications as needed.
- Identifies/document goals, anticipated progress, and timelines; plans for reevaluation and discharge.
- Directs and supervises PTAs, students, and support personnel; delegates tasks appropriately and ensures clear communication.
- Accurately documents assessments, interventions, patient response, education, and progress toward goals.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (Physical Therapy); Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licenses: Current and active Physical Therapy license in the state of North Carolina
