JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary: Mule Opr - Storm Lake Pork Plant
This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lift boxed product from conveyors and stack onto pallets, including consolidating partial pallets.
- Operate equipment, including inverters, stretch wrappers, power industrial trucks, and forklifts.
- Load trailers and perform trailer washout duties.
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
- Scan and label boxes, maintain inventory accuracy, and complete required documentation.
- Work in temperatures ranging from -30°F to 100°F.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, and extreme heat.
- Perform duties that include walking, climbing ladders, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and working on concrete surfaces throughout the shift.
- Lift, carry, and stack boxes weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and stack materials weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
- Must be able and willing to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours per shift.
- Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, squat, climb ladders, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Must be able and willing to work on concrete surfaces for prolonged periods.
- Must be able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from -30°F to 100°F.
- Must be able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, and extreme heat.
- Must be able and willing to safely operate forklifts, power industrial trucks, and other assigned equipment.
- Must be able and willing to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety requirements.
