Our Opportunity

GPJ is hiring a Graphic Production Manager to join our growing team.

This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Las Vegas, NV office location a minimum of 5 days per week.

Your Role

As the Manager of Graphics Production, your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities focused on leading, educating, and guiding the team responsible for constructing graphic items on a project-by-project basis. Your first priority is to oversee the staffing, training, and scheduling of our graphics production staff, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to meet project demands efficiently. You also manage the balance between in-house production and outsourcing, ensuring profitability while encouraging growth and leveraging our team's capabilities.

Another critical aspect of your role is to manage job timelines and deadlines in print and fabric production. This involves anticipating potential challenges, devising creative solutions for unique requests, and ensuring the availability of standard materials. Effective communication with stakeholders throughout the production process is essential, and you maintain a comprehensive workload schedule to facilitate seamless coordination.

Additionally, you provide expertise in graphic production, offering guidance and recommendations to ensure our deliverables exceed client expectations. You will oversee departmental time tracking, manage PTO, maintain file organization, and facilitate ongoing training and skill development initiatives.

Your Skills

  • Manage the production and manufacturing of all finished graphics through the graphics production team. 
  • Able to provide guidance, direction and continuing education to the graphics team as needed with regards to best production practices. 
  • Develop and manage Graphic Production Supervisors and leads as needed.
  • Ability to educate project management and engineering management on fabrication methods specific to graphic treatments for GPJ.
  • Can evaluate graphic production to forecast appropriate completion date to allow for packaging and shipment of all completed items.
  • Understands graphic production methodology, terminology, and effect. 
  • Develops and communicates creative solutions that will help achieve desired results. 
  • Organizes, tracks, and documents all production items to assure entire production workload for the department has been finished completely.
  • Identify areas or methods that could be improved in the graphic production workflow.
  • Can manage regular department meetings within graphic production to keep the team current on project workload overall.
  • Ability to define and set expectations for production quality as necessary.
  • Works well in a deadline-driven and frequently stressful environment.

Establishing a reasonable timeline for completion when no concrete date is given.

Your Experience

  • Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics Production related field or a minimum of 5 years of industry related experience.
  • Experience with print production technology and equipment.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and in a timely fashion, including verbally and through written text.
  • High competency in graphic design software, including or similar to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Color theory and management experience. 

Travel, Schedule & Mobility

Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed. 

Ability to travel up to 15%

Your Impact

Leading the physical production of graphic items as the Graphic Production Manager, you will directly shape your team's performance and output. Your role is pivotal in elevating their efficiency, knowledge base, and the quality of their work. Furthermore, you'll be instrumental in refining graphic production processes. 

Through these improvements, you'll directly influence the speed and quality of graphic production, ensuring timely delivery to logistics and ultimately contributing to a positive client experience.

Your efforts will also have an effect on the performance of the graphic production team on the whole.  Efficiency, profitability, and timeliness of delivery are affected by the decisions you make and the actions you take. 

Salary Range: 

Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
