Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Services Technician III on second shift will be responsible maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. This position serves as the technical lead on 2nd shift, working independently while coordinating with production, engineering, maintenance, and OEM suppliers to minimize downtime and maintain operational readiness.
What you will be doing:
- Lead daily Manufacturing Services activities for second shift while providing technical guidance to the team.
- Coordinate work assignments and prioritize equipment repairs based on production needs.
- Manage CMMS activities including work order creation, assignment, prioritization, documentation (permits), and closure
- Ensure timely execution and closure of corrective and preventive maintenance work orders.
- Ensure team compliance with work order execution standards and maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment, vacuum systems, electrical systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum schematics.
- Serve as a contact for OEM technical support.
- Source and procure replacement parts and maintain critical spare parts inventory.
- Communicate equipment status, risks, and priorities to production and site leadership.
- Develop and improve maintenance processes to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Mentor and develop incoming Manufacturing Services Technicians.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent or GED (General Educational Development) with 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, OR
- Associate’s degree with 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, word, Excel, and Outlook)
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements:
- Supporting aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Root cause analysis (RCA), or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting industrial vacuum systems.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively within a team.
- Ability to create accurate shift reports and communicate equipment status effectively.
- Experience contacting OEMs for technical support.
- Knowledge of sourcing and ordering replacement parts and critical spares.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience up to 240V.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, including basic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Mental & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with team assistance for heavier loads.
