General Summary:
Join Qualcomm's Data Center Business Unit to lead the Customer Strategy & Solutions function for custom silicon. This senior leadership role is responsible for defining customer engagement strategy, shaping strategic custom silicon opportunities, leading solution development for hyperscale and AI infrastructure customers, and governing the end-to-end process from opportunity creation through design win.
The Senior Director serves as the executive bridge between customers and Qualcomm's Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Business Development organizations to ensure customer requirements are translated into winning product, technology, commercial, and execution strategies.
Customer Strategy & Executive Engagement
- Lead strategic customer engagement activities with hyperscalers, AI infrastructure providers, and strategic semiconductor partners; establish executive relationships and drive opportunity creation.
- Own customer solution strategy across custom silicon engagements, including oversight of requests for information, requests for quotation, statements of work, business proposals, and strategic customer engagements.
- Define opportunity strategy, customer prioritization, investment recommendations, and design-win plans for high-value custom silicon opportunities.
- Serve as the executive customer interface for solution scope, requirements alignment, escalation management, and strategic account planning.
- Translate customer priorities, market needs, competitive dynamics, and business objectives into actionable product, platform, technology, and commercial recommendations.
Solution Development & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Business Development to develop competitive customer solutions.
- Lead solution definition for custom silicon opportunities, ensuring customer requirements are translated into clear product requirements, technical trade-offs, commercial assumptions, and execution plans.
- Govern the end-to-end opportunity process from early customer engagement through qualification, proposal development, statement of work alignment, and design-win decision making.
- Establish processes, templates, tools, and best practices that support consistent customer solution development, requirements governance, executive reviews, and opportunity management.
Business, Commercial & Roadmap Leadership
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and Business Development on business cases, pricing strategies, non-recurring engineering models, commercial frameworks, revenue planning, and profitability analysis.
- Influence custom silicon product, platform, connectivity, chiplet, packaging, memory, compute, and technology roadmaps based on customer requirements and market opportunities.
- Support executive reviews, strategic account planning, customer escalations, competitive analysis, and business growth initiatives tied to customer solution strategy.
- Lead a high-performing Customer Strategy & Solutions organization and provide leadership, prioritization, coaching, and operating discipline across the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including Product Management, Business Leadership, Strategic Marketing, Customer Solutions, Business Development, or related leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading strategic customer engagements with hyperscale cloud providers, AI infrastructure companies, strategic semiconductor customers, or complex customer-facing technology organizations.
- MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading complex custom silicon, infrastructure, networking, AI datacenter, or customer solution initiatives from early opportunity shaping through design win.
- Strong understanding of custom silicon development lifecycles, semiconductor business models, customer engagement models, and technology platform strategies.
- Executive-level experience owning requests for information, requests for quotation, statements of work, business proposals, commercial alignment, and customer engagement strategy.
- Deep knowledge of AI infrastructure and data center systems, including compute, connectivity, networking, memory technologies, chiplets, advanced packaging, and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong commercial, financial, and strategic planning skills, including business case development, pricing strategy, investment analysis, and revenue growth planning.
- Experience leading cross-functional organizations and influencing executive-level decision making across product, architecture, engineering, operations, finance, legal, sales, and business development.
- Exceptional executive communication, customer engagement, negotiation, leadership, and organizational scaling capabilities.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$227,700.00 - $341,500.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
