[What the role is]

The Manager/Senior Manager, Outreach Events and Management, leads the end-to-end planning and delivery of career events, workshops and outreach initiatives across physical, virtual and hybrid formats. The role involves conceptualising event formats and engagement approaches, building partnerships with employers, industry partners and community organisations, and shaping targeted outreach strategies to improve job-matching outcomes. The incumbent oversees event operations, vendor and budget management, and ensures compliance with procurement and governance requirements. The role also involves monitoring event performance, analysing data to drive improvements, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to deliver multiple concurrent events effectively.

[What you will be working on]

  • Lead the planning and delivery of career events, workshops, networking sessions and other outreach initiatives across physical, virtual and hybrid formats, ensuring alignment with Workforce Outreach Division priorities and workforce needs.
  • Conceptualise event formats, participant journeys and engagement approaches; pilot new initiatives and improve existing formats to strengthen employer participation, jobseeker engagement and job-matching outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with employers, industry partners, associations, Self-Help Groups, community/grassroots organisations and internal stakeholders to mobilise participation, partnerships and resources.
  • Shape targeted outreach and engagement strategies to attract suitable jobseekers and employers, advocate jobseeker capabilities and workforce needs, and curate activities that reduce skills and hiring mismatch.
  • Oversee end-to-end event operations, including vendor appointment and management, logistics, registration, event-day execution, post-event follow-up, procurement and governance requirements.
  • Develop event budget requirements, monitor utilisation, exercise cost discipline, verify billing and ensure effective deployment of resources while delivering value for money.
  • Establish and monitor event performance measures, analyse participation, engagement and outcome data, identify trends and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Lead post-event reviews, consolidate feedback from stakeholders, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and institutionalise good practices across the event portfolio.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external parties to deliver multiple concurrent events, provide direction on priorities and resolve operational issues to ensure timely, quality outcomes.
