Description
Role - SaaS Sales Manager
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to develop strategic client partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth within the banking, fintech, and financial services markets. Engage with compliance and risk decision-makers to expand our client base and promote our client's consulting services and their next-generation AI compliance SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management & Business Development: Build and maintain relationships with senior executives across banks, fintechs, and financial institutions to identify new business opportunities, expand client partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
- Own the full sales process: From finding prospects to pitching solutions, writing proposals, negotiating contracts, and tracking your pipeline you'll manage it start to finish.
- Strategic Growth & Market Expansion: Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the adoption of our client's consulting services and their software across banks, fintechs, and other regulated financial institutions.
- Drive New Business Growth: Proactively identify and develop new revenue opportunities through market expansion, strategic partnerships, and RFP participation, while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Leverage deep expertise in AML, sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, and model risk management to advise clients, address business challenges, and position solutions that align with their risk and compliance objectives.
- Solution Positioning & Client Engagement: Craft and deliver compelling value-based presentations and proposals for AI and software solutions, aligning client business needs with regulatory requirements to drive customer engagement and sales success.
- Team up internally: Work closely with marketing, consulting, product, and delivery teams to generate demand, keep clients happy, and help shape new offerings.
- Client Growth & Retention: Partner with existing clients to understand evolving business needs, increase solution adoption, and drive account expansion while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Industry & Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed on emerging market trends, evolving regulations, and competitor movements to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Thought Leadership & Market Presence: Serve as a brand ambassador for our client by actively participating in industry events, strengthening market visibility, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
Reporting & Metrics
- Set clear goals and track them: Build OKRs/KPIs (Objectives & Key Results / Key Performance Indicators; the specific goals and numbers used to measure success), dashboards, and forecasts to keep revenue growth predictable.
- Executive Reporting & Sales Forecasting: Deliver executive level reporting and insights into pipeline health, sales performance, forecast accuracy, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Data-Driven Sales Strategy: Leverage CRM insights, market intelligence, and sales analytics to optimize account prioritization, solution positioning, pricing strategies, and overall sales performance.
- Strategic Financial Collaboration: Partner with finance and leadership on budgeting and revenue planning, including reporting to the board.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in financial services, financial crime prevention, AML, compliance, or risk management.
- Strong knowledge of AML, sanctions, fraud, transaction monitoring (systems that flag suspicious financial activity), and model risk management.
- Experience with financial crime software platforms such as NICE Actimize, Oracle Mantas, Fircosoft, or FIS/PRIME (preferred), or similar tools used for AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and financial crime detection.
- A track record of selling AI-powered or SaaS (Software as a Service; cloud-based software, as opposed to something installed locally) compliance or regulatory tech to banks and financial institutions.
- A strong, established network of senior compliance, risk, AML, sanctions, and financial crime decision-makers.
- Proven success by closing and growing deals; both consulting engagements and technology contracts, while consistently beating revenue goals.
- Strong skills in consultative selling (understanding a client's problem deeply before proposing a solution), negotiation, and communicating with executives.
- A self-starter mindset; comfortable working independently in a fast-growing company.
- Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
