This position supports the Army Prepositioned Stocks – 4 (APS-4) Program, Multi-Role Bridge Company (MRBC) section, located at Camp Humphreys, Korea. The Maintenance QC Inspector will comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR’s Zero Harm program.

Job Summary

The MRBC Maintenance QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and validating all maintenance performed on float bridge systems, bridging assemblies, heavy wheeled tactical vehicles, power generation equipment, ground support equipment, engineering equipment, and associated assets within the APS-4 MRBC section at Camp Humphreys, Korea. This role ensures that all COSIS-based maintenance, scheduled services, and corrective maintenance actions meet technical and quality standards established by the APS-4 program, applicable Army technical manuals, and KBR’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

The QC Inspector works closely with the MRBC Maintenance Foreman, Bridge Technicians, and Heavy Wheel Technicians to enforce quality standards, identify and resolve discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement across the integrated MRBC maintenance operation. The position utilizes quality metrics, Six Sigma methodology, scheduled and unscheduled inspections, and the Corrective Action System to proactively manage quality across all production activities spanning the full breadth of the MRBC equipment set.

The MRBC QC Inspector performs inspections across the full MRBC equipment set at Camp Humphreys, encompassing float bridge systems, heavy wheeled tactical vehicles, power generation equipment, ground support equipment, and engineering equipment maintained under COSIS operations in support of MRBC mission requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Inspect and validate maintenance performed on MRBC float bridge systems and associated equipment including PMCS, hull and waterjet inspections, engine and hydraulic system maintenance, waterjet and propulsion system repairs, fuel system maintenance, and structural welding and fabrication quality.

• Inspect and validate maintenance performed on heavy wheeled tactical vehicles, JLTVs, power generation equipment, ground support equipment, and engineering equipment within the MRBC section.

• Inspect and validate equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable technical manuals, work instructions, Engineering Changes, MWOs, MAMs, and SOUMs.

• Perform initial, random, and final inspections on equipment submitted for repair or services.

• Work closely with management, foremen, and mechanics to improve the quality process of maintenance operations.

• Proactively discover, analyze, and resolve discrepancies, weak points, and bottlenecks within operations utilizing scheduled and unscheduled inspections, quality metrics, Six Sigma methodology, and ISO 9001:2015 QMS principles.

• Ensure proper use of automated maintenance systems and the accurate completion of all maintenance documentation.

• Ensure required plans, procedures, work instructions, and quality records are developed, maintained, and followed by operational personnel.

• Maintain knowledge of the Corrective Action System and ensure all corrective actions are brought to a satisfactory conclusion.

• Perform Equipment Condition and Operational Determination (ECOD) as requested.

• Maintain a basic working knowledge of GCSS-Army and proficiency in current USG portals to obtain information required for the job.

• Provide support for Key Leader Engagements (KLE), equipment issue and receiving for designated unit draws, and contingency operation draw exercises for training and real-world missions when tasked.

• Comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR’s Zero Harm program.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.

• Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.

• Ability to provide documentation to qualify as US EXPAT Invited Contractor Status and SOFA Visa IAW USFK 700-19 Regulation.

• Favorable adjudication of an NACI background check.

• High School diploma or GED plus seven years of directly related work experience in the maintenance and repair of float bridge systems, bridging equipment, heavy tactical wheeled vehicles, or a combination of these platforms to include systems such as the M30 BEB, M16 IRB, M1977A4 CBT, JLTV, and associated ground support and engineering equipment.

• In lieu of formal coursework, a combination of college credits, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or experience may be considered.

• Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, and work orders.

• Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, including heat and humidity.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 35 pounds to shoulder height.

• Must be able to work in confined spaces.

• Required to pass initial and periodic drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

• Certification from a vocational school or other recognized source such as a military service-related Advanced Individual Training with MOS 91L or 12C is preferred. Successful completion of BEB/IRB/CBT FLMNET is also preferred.

• EPA MVAC Technician Certification is preferred.

• Prior experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a DoD maintenance environment is preferred.

• Prior experience supporting APS, PREPO, or other War Reserve materiel programs is preferred.
