Junior Developer

Description

Position Summary:

The Junior Developer contributes to platform feature development on native AWS. You will implement well-scoped stories, write tests, learn from senior engineers, and use AI-assisted development tooling as part of the standard workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement well-scoped user stories and bug fixes

- Write unit tests and participate in code reviews

- Learn and apply the team's cloud-native and secure-coding standards

- Use AI-assisted development tools across the SDLC

- Collaborate with the team on refinement and delivery

- Support documentation and testing activities

Requirements

Non-Technical Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Must be willing to work a HYRBID Schedule (2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.

- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Must be able to prioritize and self-start.

- Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.

- Must be enthusiastic and have passion for learning and constant improvement.

- Must be open to collaboration, feedback and client asks.

- Must enjoy working with a vibrant team of outgoing personalities.

Required Qualifications:

- 1+ years of software development experience (including internships/projects)

- Familiarity with a modern programming language and version control

- Eagerness to learn cloud (AWS) and Agile delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

- AWS exposure

- Federal IT interest/experience

- Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling
