Job Summary

The Manager of Business Development, Strategic Development will have responsibility in sourcing, developing, executing, and managing new strategic partnerships that focus on driving growth, improving the customer experience, and exploring new opportunities that meet the strategic objectives of Comcast Cable’s broadband, mobile, video, and smart home businesses. The successful candidate will have a desire to flexibly work across a broad range of companies across multiple sectors ranging from start-ups to large enterprises. This person must possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to succinctly capture insights and solutions into presentations, and effectively communicate them to broader audiences including external partners and executive leadership. Individuals in this role must also be able to think freely and creatively about opportunities for Comcast and take ownership of how to successfully execute them to deliver strategic value to Comcast. The manager will also know how to navigate matrixed organizations with great judgement, integrity and collaboration, and have a passion to learn and grow with Comcast.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Analyzes and evaluates new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, and partnerships.
• Conducts market analyses and builds detailed business cases to evaluate potential partnership opportunities.
• Actively participates in deal negotiations and deal management including maintaining all deal related artifacts such as term sheets, issues lists, and long form agreements.
• Manages and builds relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders to drive towards common partnership goals.
• Creates presentations and work products for executive level audiences; effectively communicates through strong research, analysis, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Works independently as well as directly supports the work of other team members.
• Consistent exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years work experience
• Ability to work independently and in large/small groups on multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated experience completing complex assignments
• Comfortable with ambiguity and unstructured problems
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to pragmatically evaluate commercial concerns and customer/partner needs.
• Enthusiastic, dynamic, high-spirited, and collaborative
• Curious and creative with ambition and drive to succeed
• Comfortable and experienced in presenting to large groups and senior management

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
