Buymie is an Armenian/Irish co-founded tech company that provides grocery delivery services across Ireland.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer (ReactJS) to join our Buymie team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using Angular framework. You will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and test front-end solutions that meet our clients' needs and enhance user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance frontend applications using React.js, JavaScript/ES6+, and TypeScript.
• Build reusable, maintainable UI components and frontend architectures following modern React best practices.
• Manage complex application state using Redux, Context API, and other appropriate state management solutions.
• Implement advanced React patterns, including Hooks, functional components, code splitting, and lazy loading.
• Integrate and work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket-based services.
• Optimize frontend applications for performance, scalability, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ensure frontend solutions follow security, accessibility (a11y), and responsive design best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering decision-making.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and frontend defects.
• Write clean, well-structured, testable, and maintainable code following established coding standards.
• Use Git and modern development workflows within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Contribute to improving frontend development standards, processes, documentation, and best practices.
• Lead or support complex technical initiatives and mentor less experienced frontend developers when needed.

• Deep understanding of JavaScript, ES6+, and the React.js ecosystem
• Strong experience with state management solutions such as Redux and Context API
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend build tools such as Vite, Webpack, or equivalent
• Strong experience with React Hooks, functional components, code splitting, lazy loading, and frontend performance optimization
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket-based services
• Solid understanding of frontend security principles, accessibility (a11y), responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
• Strong experience with Git and working in Agile/Scrum development teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design scalable solutions and lead complex technical initiatives
• Experience with VTEX / VTEX IO Development is a strong plus
