Core Engineer

Main responsibilities:

• Receive new central platforms and new services from engineering.
• Provide solutions to any incident or abnormal event that (may) affect Business Services. Participating in a 7x24 on-call rotations.
• Track the central platforms availability and service performance as well as the quality of delivered services using consolidated and relevant indicators, giving a comprehensive visibility of network elements and services quality, with a good level of anticipation to ensure Service continuity.
• Work according to OLA/SLA and target KPI defined with customers (operating countries).
• Generate and implement the best operational practices in the operation and support of platforms and services.
• Escalate and manage incidents with suppliers and other areas within the company.
• Execute the changes on the central platforms, following the change management guidelines.

Technical knowledge and experience

• 5+ years of experience in a network engineering or operations team of a mobile network operator.
• Solid technical understanding of mobile network engineering and technologies, especially in Core PS platforms architecture, 5G/4G/VoLTE (Desirable), PCRF & DPI Rules, Network Signaling and Traffic Communication Protocols and 3GPP Standard Interfaces, Security Protocols and Best Practices, Telco Cloud, Platform Virtualization and IP Fabric (Desirable)
• Experience in standard operating processes for operations, support and maintenance.
• Knowledge of management of PS Platforms of vendors: Huawei, Sandvine, Ericsson, Nokia and Microsoft.
• Intermediate English (written and spoken)
