Description
As a Lead Business Technology Analyst, VP at Citi, you will sit at the intersection of business strategy and technology delivery, translating complex data, reporting, and analytics requirements into scalable technology solutions that shape how Citi operates at a global scale. You will serve as the authoritative link between business stakeholders and technology teams, owning the integrity of data flows, platform strategy, and technology roadmaps across critical systems. This is a senior leadership role where your analysis, decisions, and delivery directly influence Citi's technology landscape and its alignment to strategic priorities worldwide.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary subject matter expert in reporting and analytics data, business rules, and data pipeline processes, ensuring accurate and consistent data flow across interconnected systems.
Investigate data quality issues end-to-end, performing root cause analysis and coordinating remediation with data governance and technical teams to uphold enterprise data quality standards.
Partner with business clients and product managers to gather and define system functional requirements, translating business strategy into clear, actionable technology roadmaps.
Document and maintain technology strategy, platform roadmaps, and architectural standards to enforce consistency and clarity across teams and vendors.
Lead the simplification of the technology environment by identifying and retiring duplicative platforms in favor of scalable global solutions that reduce cost and complexity.
Define scope, objectives, and system requirements for complex, high-impact projects, guiding delivery through development and implementation phases.
Lead and mentor a team day-to-day, managing workload distribution, resource allocation, and professional development to sustain high performance.
Monitor business decisions for risk and compliance implications, escalating control issues with transparency and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Required qualifications & skills
Six to ten years of experience in business analysis, technology consulting, or a related field within a large, complex organization.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, with working knowledge of Word, Visio, and PowerPoint to support documentation and stakeholder communication.
Solid grounding in the full software development lifecycle, with the ability to contribute meaningfully at each stage from requirements through to delivery.
Demonstrated capability in business analysis disciplines including requirements gathering, process mapping, metadata documentation, and data governance frameworks.
Ability to document and maintain technology strategy, platform roadmaps, and architectural standards across cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
Beneficial skills & qualifications
A Master's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related discipline.
Familiarity with data pipeline tooling and analytics platforms used in financial services or large-scale enterprise data environments.
Experience working directly with product managers to align technology delivery with business planning cycles and strategic priorities.
