Sunday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm

If so, we invite you to join our team at Christie Rehabilitation Community as our next Activities Coordinator.

As the Activities Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our vibrant community, designing and leading a dynamic activities program that enhances the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. You’ll manage a small team of Activity Assistants and work closely with interdisciplinary staff to ensure every resident feels engaged, valued, and connected.

What You’ll Do:

Create & Lead Programs: Plan and implement a variety of recreational, therapeutic, and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
Resident-Centered Planning: Conduct regular assessments to personalize activities and ensure inclusivity for all cognitive and physical levels.
Special Events & Outings: Organize memorable events, holiday celebrations, and outings—yes, you’ll even drive our residents to fun destinations!
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with nursing, therapy, and social services to align activities with residents’ care plans.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with older adults in long-term care
Previous experience in activity programming
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
