Re: Function Health Group is seeking a part-time Kinesiologist to join our team of professionals in our Customized Recovery and Return to Work (CRRTW) Program in Surrey. The position would be 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), 9:30 am – 2:30 pm, with the opportunity to add more days.

What You'll Be Doing:
We are looking for an individual with the skills and energy to assist clients who have sustained a variety of work-related injuries. The Kinesiologist will work in a Customized Recovery and Return to Work (CRRTW) Program, alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Counsellors, and Physicians. The goal of the program is to support injured workers through their rehabilitation journey and return to work.
The role of the Kinesiologist includes but is not limited to:
- Perform evidence-based assessments using specific impairment measures.
- Be a strong advocate of exercise therapy, effective coaching, and promoting client independence. We have a state-of-the-art performance gym to really challenge and help our clients.
- Analyze assessment findings to create suitable exercise regimens and work-oriented goals.
- Provide timely written and/or verbal communication of assessment findings and treatment outcomes.
- Provide ongoing group and individualized education to clients.
- Active participation in regular team conferences involving injured workers and members of the interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform pre-employment physical and functional testing as well as drug and alcohol screening.
What You Need to Be Successful:
For the current employment opportunity, we request candidates to have 12 months of experience providing active rehabilitation or strength and conditioning programming. Training and mentorship are available for candidates who do not quite meet the requirements.
- University Degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics.
- Member in good standing with BCAK.
- Professional Liability Insurance of at least $2 million per occurrence.
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently.
- Have excellent clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to various job sites around the Lower Mainland.
