Position: Facilities Technician
Location: Lumentum Thailand – Navanakorn, Pathum Thani

Reports To: Facilities Supervisor / Facilities Manager
Position Summary
The Facilities Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, inspecting, and maintaining facility equipment, infrastructure, and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations.
The role performs preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance while ensuring that utilities and environmental conditions meet manufacturing specifications, workplace requirements, and applicable safety standards.
The Facilities Technician also supports the company’s Energy Management System and serves as an assigned member of the factory’s Emergency Response, First Aid, and Rescue Teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, breakdown/corrective, and predictive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
Operate and monitor facility machinery, equipment, and utility systems to ensure reliable and uninterrupted service.
Maintain workplace and production-environment conditions in accordance with required specifications, manufacturing requirements, and safety standards.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment, infrastructure, and related systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Monitor equipment performance, identify abnormalities, and take appropriate corrective action to minimize operational disruption and equipment downtime.
Maintain facility equipment and systems in good working condition and ensure they are ready to support business and manufacturing operations.
Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, equipment checklists, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record, monitor, and manage maintenance activities as required.
Support energy conservation initiatives and the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Energy Management System.
Comply with company policies and applicable quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, and energy-management requirements.
Serve as an assigned member of the factory’s Energy Management System, Emergency Response Team, First Aid Team, and Rescue Team.
Collaborate effectively with team members, engineers, contractors, supervisors, and other departments to support facility operations.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the immediate supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
Higher Vocational Certificate, or higher qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or another related technical or engineering field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities operation and maintenance within a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
Basic understanding of standards and requirements applicable to semiconductor manufacturing, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
Basic knowledge of facility preventive-maintenance management systems, CMMS, and energy-conservation programs.
Understanding of facility equipment, utility systems, infrastructure, and workplace environmental-control requirements.
Ability to inspect equipment, identify abnormalities, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform maintenance activities safely.
Strong safety awareness and willingness to comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Proactive, responsible, service-minded, and able to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and support operational requirements.
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge or experience in the operation and maintenance of:
Cleanroom systems
Pretreatment, Reverse Osmosis (RO), and Deionized (DI) water systems
Clean Dry Air (CDA) systems
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control
Main electrical power distribution systems and equipment
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Utility supply systems and supporting infrastructure
Experience using CMMS or other facility maintenance-management systems.
Knowledge of energy conservation and Energy Management System requirements.
Experience supporting emergency response, first aid, or rescue activities in a factory environment.
Good documentation and basic computer skills.
Working Conditions
Work in a manufacturing, semiconductor, facility, utility, and technical-service environment.
Work may involve facility equipment rooms, utility areas, cleanrooms, and other operational areas within the factory.
Required to comply with applicable safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
May be required to respond to facility equipment abnormalities, utility interruptions, or emergency situations in accordance with assigned responsibilities.
Participation in emergency response, first aid, rescue, and energy-management activities may be required.
