The Role of a Personal Care Aide in NY:
Responsibilities:
NYS PCA Minimum Pay Rate: $18.65 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Frequent standing and walking; assisting members with daily activities (dressing, bathing, and meals); bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting or supporting individuals
- Provide transportation, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping as needed.
- Influence clients' quality of life through promoting patient safety, medication adherence, clean environments, happiness, and social engagement.
- Bring comfort and companionship to clients in their homes
