This is a high-impact position for a seasoned commercial banking professional who combines expert credit judgement with a proactive, relationship-first approach.
# Responsibilities

- Structure and execute complex credit transactions, partnering with product specialists across Investment Banking, Treasury and Trade Services, Markets, and Private Banking to deliver tailored, innovative solutions.
- Manage the full credit relationship lifecycle for each client, coordinating internal teams to ensure consistent application of credit policies and sound institutional processes.
- Identify and develop new client relationships within the mid-corporate segment, applying deep market knowledge and a clear understanding of the competitive landscape to grow the portfolio.
- Lead the execution of strategic commercial initiatives at business, market, and group levels, ensuring alignment with Citi's broader organisational objectives and global reach.
- Evaluate risk across every business decision with integrity and sound commercial judgement, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Guide and allocate work across the team, providing leadership through complex credit processes and supporting team members on deal structuring and approval.
# Required qualifications & skills
- 15 or more years of experience in commercial banking, with deep expertise across credit structuring, client relationship management, and deal execution.
- Expert credit skills, including the ability to structure all credit deal types and lead teams through the full credit approval process from origination to close.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial credit policy, credit appetite frameworks, and early warning detection methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and deliver a seamless, high-quality client experience under competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the credibility to engage at senior levels both internally and with clients.
- Decisive and focused under pressure, with the ability to rapidly assess changing circumstances, reprioritise effectively, and maintain delivery quality.
- Comfortable adopting new technologies and applying digital tools to strengthen the client experience and improve operational effectiveness.
# Beneficial skills & qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Broad familiarity with a wide range of commercial banking products and services, with a track record of quickly learning and applying new offerings to client needs.
- Experience engaging with clients across multiple sectors, with strong market awareness and knowledge of competitor products and services.

- A hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely each week, giving you flexibility without compromising collaboration or client connectivity.
- Strategic ownership of a high-value mid-corporate client portfolio, with the autonomy to lead relationships and shape commercial outcomes directly.
- Access to Citi's global network of product specialists and cross-functional teams across Investment Banking, Treasury and Trade Services, Markets, and Private Banking — enabling you to bring the full power of the firm to every client.
