Non-ExemptJob Description:
This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of various pump systems and fountains throughout City-owned facilities while ensuring proper chemical treatment and operational efficiency.
Examples of Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance on lift stations, irrigation pumps, pool pumps, and sump pumps.
- Clean fountains and maintain proper chemical levels.
- Replace and repair malfunctioning pumps and related equipment.
- Lead maintenance crews at worksites to ensure safe and efficient work performance.
- Receive, prioritize, and distribute work orders according to division procedures.
- Estimate project materials from blueprints and purchase necessary supplies.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed.
- Work extended hours during equipment and building shutdowns.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree or high school diploma or equivalent with 3-6 years of experience
- Experience in pump maintenance and repair
- Experience with swimming pool and fountain systems
- Experience reading blueprints and technical documentation
- Experience with chemical treatment systems
- Leadership experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Certified Master Tradesman
- Confined Space Training certification required within 6 months of hire
- Respiratory Training certification required within 6 months of hire
- Swimming Pool / Spa certification required within 6 months of hire
Other Necessary Requirements:
- In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
