Description
A Sales-First Leadership Opportunity
We are looking for a highly driven, sales-focused Assistant Area Sales Manager to help lead, develop, and strengthen our sales team.
This is not a role for someone who simply wants a management title. This is a working sales leadership position for someone who loves selling, consistently produces results, and wants to develop into a stronger leader. We are looking for a highly driven, sales-focused Assistant Area Sales Manager to support our Corinth and Sardis, Mississippi markets. This is a unique hybrid opportunity that combines hands-on selling with developing sales leadership responsibilities.
You won't be managing sales from the sidelines. You will actively work with customers, manage Facebook Marketplace and Messenger leads, follow up with prospects, enter and process sales in NetSuite, close business, and help our Shed Specialists improve their performance.
You will spend significant time selling, coaching, reviewing customer conversations, reinforcing sales processes, and helping the team execute at a high level. Your credibility will come from what you do—not simply what you tell others to do.
Your Mission
Support the development of disciplined, high-performing sales professionals by reinforcing proven sales processes, coaching daily execution, and driving accountability across the team.
You are not here to rescue every deal.
You are here to sell, lead by example, develop capable sales professionals, and help build a consistent, profitable sales organization.
What You'll Do
Sell First. Lead Second.
The Assistant Area Sales Manager must remain highly engaged in the sales process.
You will be expected to:
- Generate and manage sales opportunities.
- Execute the complete Shed Specialist sales process.
- Qualify customers effectively before presenting pricing.
- Manage Marketplace and Messenger conversations.
- Handle customer objections confidently.
- Structure and explain deals clearly.
- Maintain disciplined and timely follow-up.
- Protect company pricing and margins.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Help achieve individual and area sales goals.
- Demonstrate the sales behaviors you expect from the team.
This is a sales leadership role—not a position where you step away from selling.
Your ability to lead others will be built on your ability to consistently demonstrate the sales behaviors that produce results.
Develop Other Sales Professionals
A major responsibility of this position is helping Shed Specialists become better, more confident, and more consistent salespeople.
You will:
- Coach daily sales execution.
- Review customer conversations and provide constructive feedback.
- Reinforce scripts, processes, and company standards.
- Help identify performance gaps.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
- Share proven sales techniques and best practices.
- Help team members improve qualification, objection handling, follow-up, and closing skills.
- Encourage accountability without creating a negative or discouraging environment.
- Serve as a trusted resource and subject matter expert for the sales team.
You are not expected to do everyone's job for them.
You are expected to teach them how to do it better themselves.
Requirements
You Must Master the Shed Specialist Role
Before you can effectively coach others, you must be able to consistently perform the role yourself.
The successful Assistant Area Sales Manager will demonstrate strong ability in:
- Full-cycle sales execution.
- Customer qualification.
- Marketplace and Messenger communication.
- Objection handling.
- Closing and deal structure.
- Customer follow-up.
- CRM management.
- Company software and systems.
- Pricing and margin protection.
- Customer service and relationship management.
- Sales process compliance.
Theory is not enough.
Your team should be able to look at your performance and see exactly what good selling looks like.
Protect the Sale—and Protect the Margin
We believe profitable revenue is the goal—not simply increased sales volume.
You will be expected to protect deal integrity by ensuring:
- Customers are properly qualified.
- Pricing is accurate and consistent with company guidelines.
- Customers understand terms and expectations.
- Required documentation is completed correctly.
- Established sales processes are followed.
- Pricing deviations are identified and communicated.
- Deals are structured in a way that protects both the customer relationship and company profitability.
The goal is to win the right business the right way.
Non-Negotiable Standards
The Assistant Area Sales Manager is expected to:
- Follow company scripts, sales processes, and standards.
- Maintain accurate and current CRM records.
- Follow up with customers consistently and promptly.
- Participate fully in coaching and development.
- Review sales conversations and provide meaningful feedback.
- Support onboarding and training.
- Communicate performance concerns proactively.
- Protect deal integrity and company margin.
- Escalate compliance or process concerns promptly.
- Hold others accountable professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain a positive, competitive, solutions-oriented attitude.
- Take ownership of results.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- Highly sales-driven and motivated by winning business.
- A proven or emerging high-performing salesperson.
- Confident communicating with customers and team members.
- Competitive while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
- Disciplined with follow-up and CRM processes.
- Coachable and willing to receive feedback.
- Comfortable holding themselves and others accountable.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- A strong communicator.
- A natural problem solver.
- Passionate about developing other people.
- Interested in growing into greater leadership responsibility.
You may be a great fit if...
You get excited about:
The next lead.
The next conversation.
The next opportunity to close.
The next team member you can help improve.
The next sales goal you can beat.
If you would rather sell than manage paperwork, coach through real sales activity rather than simply talk about it, and want to build a career in sales leadership, this could be the right opportunity for you.
Leadership Development
This position is designed to prepare high-performing sales professionals for future leadership opportunities.
You will be expected to continuously develop your ability to:
- Coach and develop others.
- Analyze sales performance.
- Identify and address performance gaps.
- Communicate expectations clearly.
- Solve problems while maintaining accountability.
- Strengthen team morale and culture.
- Lead through consistency and example.
- Take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Leadership is earned through consistency, credibility, and results.

Be the example.
Sell the right way.
Support the process.
Develop others.
Protect the margin.

Compensation: $50,000 annually plus commission on all sales in your territory.
