Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Senior Inpatient Case Manager/ Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time Weekend Dayshift!
Status: Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours)
Standard working hours:
3x12 weekend schedule: 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM EST, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, including a 30-minute lunch break
4x10 schedule: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM EST, Friday through Monday, including a 30-minute lunch break
Eligible for weekend shift differential
The position requires training Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM for the first several weeks before transitioning to the full-time weekend day shift.
Location: This is an onsite position at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, 600 Gresham Drive, Norfolk, VA 23507.
Job Profile Summary
The Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN, assumes responsibility, accountability and leadership for the daily operations including coordination of work, quality, and service for inpatient case management.
Assist supervisor for assigned site/function.
Participates in the work activities of assigned teams and provides case management services as needed.
Maintains fiscal accountability for departmental activities.
Provides feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel.
Functions in one of the following practice settings: Hospitals only
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Certification/Licensure
Registered Nurse (RN) in VA or NC or Compact/Multi-state REQUIRED
BLS within 90 days of hire.
Case Management (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC, or CMGT-BC) certification is required within one year of eligibility.
Experience:
3 years nursing experience REQUIRED, preferred in Acute Care setting
3 years Case Management experience preferred
