POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a highly creative visual storyteller who can bring Colectivo’s coffee, food, drinks, cafes and company culture to life through compelling video, photography and written storytelling.

The Content Specialist will create content for a wide range of internal and external channels, including social media, email, the Colectivo app and website, digital advertising, retailer platforms and internal communications. Social media will represent a significant portion of the role, with responsibility for the day-to-day creation, publishing and management of content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, capture and edit original video, photography and written content that supports Colectivo’s brand, products, cafes and company culture across internal and external channels. 
• Ideate, capture, edit and publish short-form video and photo content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms.
• Create and update content and digital assets for the app, website, email marketing, product pages, retailer channels and other digital touchpoints.
• Serve as a key copywriter, writing and editing copy for email, social media, the website, packaging, in-store signage, internal communications and other marketing materials while maintaining Colectivo’s brand voice.
• Collaborate with the content team to build and maintain the content calendar, content pillars and channel plans.
• Adapt and optimize content for each platform while staying current on social trends, tools and best practices.
• Track content performance and use insights to improve future creative.
• Create content for Meta advertising and assist with campaign setup and creative optimization.
• Engage daily with followers and the creator community.
• Coordinate influencer partnerships and manage Colectivo’s brand ambassador program.
• Monitor review platforms and support brand reputation management. 
• Organize and maintain Colectivo’s photo, video and content library.
• Support additional content and creative needs across the marketing team. 

Requirements

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field and 2–4 years of professional experience in social media, content creation or a related role. 
• A strong portfolio of original work that demonstrates creativity, visual storytelling and advanced short-form video and photography skills; food, beverage or hospitality content is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, including platform-specific trends, tools and best practices.
• Hands-on experience developing concepts, filming, photographing and editing polished content from start to finish.
• Strong copywriting skills and the ability to adapt voice and format across channels.
• Excellent organization, project management, communication and follow-through.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and comfort working in a fast-paced, growing brand.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is an in-office position based out of our Milwaukee offices and requires regular travel to our 23 (and growing!) cafes in Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago, along with our bakery in Milwaukee.  Chicago candidates may also be considered, with up to 50% travel to our cafes & regular travel to Milwaukee.
