Client Care Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, organised and compassionate Client Care Assistant to join our busy 24-hour veterinary hospital in Enfield.

As a Client Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of our hospital, providing an exceptional experience for clients and their pets from the moment they walk through our doors. This is a varied and fast-paced veterinary reception role, working alongside a dedicated team of veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff.

This role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with a mix of early, middle and late shifts.

1 in 5 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with time off in lieu.
Average 2 bank holidays a year with time off in lieu.

Base Salary £26,538.48 + 6% premium pay totalling a salary package of £28,130.79

About you

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A person who is genuinely passionate about providing outstanding client care and is confident, friendly and professional when dealing with clients face-to-face and over the telephone. A person who is also able to remain calm and compassionate in a busy environment. Keep highly organised and able to prioritise tasks and has excellent attention to detail and understands the important of accurate record keeping.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

• Welcome clients and their pets to the hospital and provide a warm, professional first impression.
• Manage a busy reception area in a calm and organised manner.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to client enquiries on email.
• Booking appointments and coordinating client visits.
• Processing payments and assisting with account queries.
• Liaise closely with the veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff.
• Communicate important information accurately between clients and the clinical team.
• Triage the impact of emergency appointments, contacting clients and rearranging as needed.
• Manage the practice diary to ensure appointment availability is optimised to team skillset.
• Process any repeat prescription order requests.
• Undertake daily, weekly and monthly reception tasks.
