About the Role

At Boston Pizza Milton, we're looking for energetic, friendly, and Guest-focused Servers who enjoy working with people and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As a Server, you will lead the Guest experience at the table, making sure our Guests have everything they need from appetizers to desserts. You'll use your knowledge, personality, and situational service skills to tailor the experience to each Guest while ensuring orders are accurate, service is timely, and every Guest feels welcomed and valued.

You'll be an important part of our Front of House team and will contribute to creating a fun, safe, respectful, and positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

As a Server, you will:

• Welcome Guests and create a warm, friendly, and positive first impression.
• Provide attentive, personalized service throughout the entire Guest experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure they are entered correctly.
• Maintain awareness of Guest needs and anticipate opportunities to enhance their experience.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, beverages, promotions, and menu items.
• Check in with Guests throughout their experience to ensure their needs are being met.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and Guest-focused attitude throughout every shift.
• Resolve Guest concerns professionally and involve Management when appropriate.

Hospitality & Brand Standards

• Champion the Boston Pizza "Foundations of Hospitality."
• Consistently follow Boston Pizza brand standards and service procedures.
• Create a fun and welcoming environment for every Guest.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining environment.
• Stay knowledgeable about current and upcoming promotions.
• Demonstrate genuine hospitality and look for opportunities to exceed Guest expectations.

Responsible Service & Payments

• Practice the responsible selling and serving of alcohol at all times.
• Follow all applicable alcohol service and legal requirements.
• Handle Guest payments accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain accuracy when processing bills, payments, and discounts.
• Follow all Boston Pizza cash-handling and payment procedures.

Teamwork

• Work collaboratively with Servers, Hosts, Bartenders, Expo, Kitchen staff, and Management.
• Support teammates during busy service periods.
• Communicate effectively with the team regarding Guest needs, orders, and challenges.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
• Lead by example and be willing to support your team wherever needed.

 

 

Qualifications

The ideal Server is someone who:

• genuinely enjoys working with people and creating great Guest experiences.
• Is friendly, approachable, and naturally builds relationships with Guests and team members.
• Leads by example and works alongside their teammates.
• Has strong organizational skills and effective time management.
• Remains calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with Guests and team members.
• Takes pride in providing exceptional hospitality.
• Is dependable, punctual, and committed to doing their best every shift.
• Has a positive attitude and contributes to a fun and safe work environment.
• Is comfortable learning about food, beverages, promotions, and restaurant operations.
• Is committed to Boston Pizza brand standards, the Foundations of Hospitality, and food safety.
• Is motivated to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the restaurant.

Qualifications

• Previous serving or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Previous Boston Pizza experience or familiarity with Boston Pizza menu items and brand standards is considered an asset.
• Smart Serve Certification is required to serve alcohol.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• A positive attitude and genuine commitment to Guest satisfaction.
