Description
We're looking for a Corporate Actions Analyst to join our Investment Operations team in Kuala Lumpur. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for financial markets and strong attention to detail to play a key role in the processing of corporate actions across a range of asset classes, including equities, managed funds and fixed interest products.
Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll help ensure corporate events are administered accurately and efficiently, while contributing to the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.
The responsibilities will include:
- Processing a broad range of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across equities, managed funds and fixed interest products.
- Managing events such as dividend and coupon payments, fund closures, rights issues, takeovers, stock splits, conversions and share purchase plans.
- Ensuring all corporate actions are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed service levels and deadlines.
- Researching and sourcing corporate action information from custodians, fund managers, market data providers and exchange announcements.
- Reconciling client holdings against agent and custodian records to ensure accurate event processing.
- Maintaining and monitoring internal stock and cash control accounts, resolving any outstanding discrepancies.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure corporate action information is communicated clearly and effectively.
- Building strong relationships with external parties including fund managers, custodians, brokers and market participants.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives, helping to enhance operational efficiency, controls and client outcomes.
- Working closely with technology teams to support system enhancements and the ongoing automation of corporate actions processing.
- Supporting the NZ core business of FNZ across the NZ market time zone.
What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:
- A genuine interest in financial markets, investment operations, asset servicing or corporate actions.
- Previous experience in financial services, investment operations, custody, fund administration or corporate actions.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across a range of stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and develop.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- A strong sense of ownership, accountability and professionalism, with a positive, customer-focused approach.
- Experience working with large volumes of data and maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- A team-first attitude and a willingness to support colleagues to achieve shared goals
