Senior Specialist - Product Owner

Role Purpose As Senior Specialist - Product Owner at Accelya, you will lead Product Owner activities, providing expert backlog management, sprint planning and Agile product delivery and acting as the senior authority on product matters for complex airline software products. Duties & Responsibilities • Lead complex backlog management, sprint planning and Agile product delivery workstreams, acting as the senior product authority for key products or features • Drive adoption of Jira AI, Confluence AI and Claude for user story generation, acceptance criteria drafting and sprint planning support across the product team to improve quality and velocity • Develop product strategy and roadmap for assigned products, balancing customer needs and business objectives • Conduct deep market and competitive analysis, translating insights into clear product positioning and priorities • Partner with engineering leadership, design and commercial teams on complex product decisions • Lead customer discovery, translating airline customer needs into compelling product solutions • Use generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) for strategy papers, PRDs, roadmap communication and stakeholder content Required Experience & Skills • 5–7 years of product experience with demonstrated product leadership • Expert product strategy and roadmapping skills • Deep understanding of airline technology markets and customer needs • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Preferred Experience & Skills • Strong experience using Jira AI, Confluence AI and Claude for user story generation, acceptance criteria drafting and sprint planning support to improve product strategy quality, roadmap communication and customer insight generation • Deep knowledge of airline technology competitive landscape including Amadeus, Sabre, PROS, FLYR and IATA NDC standards • Understanding of how Modern Airline Retailing and NDC are reshaping the airline software market and Accelya's product opportunities • Experience using AI to drive product innovation in airline technology, including AI-native pricing, AI-powered retailing and intelligent airline operations software What do we offer? • An open culture with a creative and challenging opportunity to satisfy your intellectual needs • Flexible working hours • Smart working: a hybrid remote/office working environment • Work-life balance • An excellent, dynamic and multicultural environment to work in About Accelya Accelya is a leading global software provider to the airline industry, powering over 200 airlines with an open, modular software platform.
