Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Controlled Entry in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle access in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-related logs and records for visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering or departing the location.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report observations and escalate matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
