Purpose of the Job:

To provide application test support to Coatings Business needs as required to achieve the CCS mission for Asia, and lab operational in compliance to SHE and QMS.

Main Accountabilities:  

• To lead coating applications, from planning and executing bench-top application to support business needs with various stakeholders, i.e.

• Benchmarking study, new or customer support

• Investigating market/ customer complaint

• Support internal operations evaluation for process improvement, work away, cost saving, regulatory, transfer and etc.

• New method developments

• Priorities and deliver application laboratory activities in line with SBU Coatings & Constructions(CCS)- Coatings strategy for Asia.

• Supportive role for application lab operational, eg: ISO representative (include instrument calibration), raw material replenishment and etc.

• Provide training based on subject matter expertise as when required (eg: customer/ distributor training, with demo).

• Ensure compliance in line with relevant SHE regulations in accordance to internal, contractual and legal.

• Develop and maintain personal awareness in relevant technical areas to enable competent contribution.
