Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driving Role in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a government correctional environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas in accordance with post orders, verifying authorization and documenting visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrol activity, incidents, access control, and other assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
