Description
The Assistant Coach is responsible for all phases of developing and maintaining a successful Athletic Program at the College through their support of the Head Coach. This is a part-time seasonal position.
*This position coaches the Gloucester Campus Roadrunners*

- Recruitment of potential student-athletes
- Practice preparation
- In and out-of season training
- Game/match day management
- Retention of quality student-athletes
- Ensures the success and safety of student athletes on and off the field
- Monitors team members' academic progress and performance, and makes referrals to the appropriate College departments to enhance student's academic success.
- Assists with all facets of athlete eligibility certification
- Responsible for the safe transportation of team members to and from away contests
- Adheres to all NJCAA, Region 19, RCSJ and Athletic Department rules and regulations
- Responsible for fundraising and development of alumni and community relations
- Possesses the ability to be a team player within the Athletics Department and the College
- Performs duties of the Head Coach in his/her absence.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Past playing and/or coaching experience in the sport is required.
- Associate’s degree required
- Valid driver’s license, which is currently in good standing
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, colleagues, and community partners
