Role: Senior Accountant
Location: York
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established and highly regarded accountancy practice in York. The firm is looking to appoint a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio and support the continued growth of the practice.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant role include:
• Managing a portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax computations
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Acting as a key client contact, providing advice and support
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Reviewing work for accuracy, compliance and presentation
• Identifying opportunities to improve client service or introduce additional services
• Assisting with practice development and business improvement initiatives

Requirements of the Senior Accountant role include:
• UK accountancy practice experience is essential
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or strong experience qualified by practice experience
• Confident managing client relationships and handling queries
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
• Positive, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
