This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in handling a wide range of IT hardware, from assembling and repairing individual components to configuring and upgrading complex systems.
As an IT Hardware Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our operations by handling a variety of tasks, including:
- Order Processing: Efficiently process purchase and sales orders to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Hardware Maintenance:
- Disassemble, inspect, test, and repair electronic hardware, including servers, workstations, network equipment, and computers.
- Securely erase previous customer data from storage devices.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assemble and configure IT hardware systems based on customer specifications
- Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit timely reports on order status, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
- Compliance: Adhere to strict quality, safety, environmental, and data security standards such as ESD.
- Ad-hoc support: Collaborate interdepatmentally to achieve operational goals
Competencies:
- Experience with hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components, peripherals, and server equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience:
Basic knowledge of IT hardware components and terminology
1+ years of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting and repairing IT hardware (specifically Dell, HP, and/or Cisco).
Software Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) or strong interest in learning more Excel skills
Familiarity with database software (Microsoft Access) is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 20 kg repetitively. The shipment boxes can weigh more than 20kgs.
