Job Summary

The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for executing assigned tasks within the warehouse and distribution operation at the Quality Control Centre (QCC) to ensure excellence in customer service through efficient product picking for timely dispatch of vehicles and delivery of products to Papa John's restaurants.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Picking of sales orders in multi-temperature environments adhering to the standard pallet configuration required

• Unloading returned outbound delivery vehicles and preparing them for re-loading

• Loading outbound delivery vehicles with picked product and dough

• Unloading inbound deliveries from suppliers

• Putting away pallets of stock into storage

• Replenishment of pick faces

• Participation in stock takes

• Completing accurate records of all relative documentation and / or transactions (pick sheets, delivery and dispatch notes, inventory count forms, non-conformance and hold logs, etc.).

• Participate in maintaining a sanitary warehouse at all times, through continuous cleaning as you go approach, and other ad hoc cleaning activity as requested

• Adhere to all Papa John’s International and PJ Food Service policies as stated in the company manuals and other communications.

• Comply with site Health & Safety requirements

• Carry out other reasonable duties as required to support warehouse operations

• Ability to communicate effectively in English to follow instructions and complete documentation

• Working knowledge of basic principles of warehouse, distribution and food manufacturing operations (including Good Manufacturing Practices).

• General understanding of mechanical and mathematical skills required.

• Must be able to safely operate manual pallet trucks and sack barrows

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to use hands repetitively, stand, walk, grasp firmly/strongly and/or simply/lightly with hands, and use fine finger dexterity.  The team member is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 25 Kg.  Occasionally, the team member is required to sit, climb, balance, push and/or pull, and lift and/or move over 25 Kg.

Essential functions are performed in a warehousing/distribution/manufacturing environment and in accordance with PJ Food Service safety policies/guidelines.
