Medical Laboratory Scientist (Microbiology) - Clinical Laboratory

We are currently hiring for a full time Medical Laboratory Scientist within the Clinical Laboratory department here at Aspen Valley Health.

Work Shift:

Days - 8 Hour

Compensation Range:

$38.30 - $61.28 Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour! Eligible new hires may qualify for a sign on bonus up to $10,000.

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
• American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC preferred.
• Experience with Vitros, Unity and WellSky preferred.
• ASCP Speciality certifications preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview:

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens in all sections of Clinical Laboratory at an elevated level as a true generalist to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and exercises independent judgment when evaluating the validity of test results prior to result reporting. Operates and calibrates all equipment in the area of specialization, evaluates the validity of laboratory data, records test results, communicates with physician, pathologists and nursing staff regarding test procedures and results.
