Location: Simcoe, ON
Terms: On-site. Full-time. This is a fixed-term contract with an anticipated end date of July 2027. International sponsorship nor local or international relocation not supported.
THE ROLE:
As a Process Engineer, you will lead the technical efforts to eliminate significant losses, focusing on solving chronic problems and implementing major cost-saving projects within your area of influence. You will ensure the proper application of focused improvement methodologies and digital tools to deliver consistent and sustainable results.
You will prioritize compliance with safety and quality standards in all projects and daily activities.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Identify and execute projects focused on waste elimination and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Evaluate and quantify the impact of projects on business results.
- Support the implementation of R2S cells as a Focused Improvement (FI) pillar member.
- Collect, stratify, and analyze information to prioritize project execution.
- Create technical standards to ensure process stability.
- Train the operational team in adhering to technical standards.
- Ensure the accuracy and application of MMP code data.
- Identify opportunities to digitize and automate tasks.
- Lead efforts to reduce changeover loss.
- Participate and engage in relevant SHEQ KPIs (FSBO, DCA, etc.).

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO…
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (including internships or co-op placements)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Interest in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, WCM, or Operational Excellence
- Ability to analyze production and process data to identify improvement opportunities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards
- Ability to develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support operational improvement projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience through internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or early-career roles in manufacturing
- Exposure to OEE, waste reduction, problem-solving methodologies, or cost-improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with Lean tools such as 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, and Root Cause Analysis
