Description
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a leading research-intensive university in Singapore. The Research Support Office is seeking a motivated individual to support the administration and continuous improvement of NTU's research systems.
Working closely with the Research Systems Lead, the successful candidate will support daily system operations, user management, system enhancements, testing, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
User Support and Management
Provide first-level support for research system users and resolve functional issues.
Monitor and manage user queries through service portals.
Liaise with IT teams and vendors on system issues and enhancements.
Support system testing, maintenance, audits, and change requests.
Training and Documentation:
Maintain user guides, FAQs, and training materials.
Coordinate user training sessions, briefings, and system communications.
System Support, Maintenance and Management:
Participate in system review meetings and track follow-up actions.
Support process reviews and system enhancement initiatives.
Work with internal stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to improve user experience and operational effectiveness.
Grant Management and Research-Related Activities:
Support grant management and research administration activities to strengthen understanding of research workflows and system requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with background in systems, business, administration, projects, or a related field.
Strong interest or experience in systems support, research administration, grant management, or process improvement.
Fast learner who is comfortable navigating and using specialized IT systems; quick-thinking, resilient, resourceful, and equipped with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in an end-user support environment, research/project management, or implementing, managing, or supporting IT applications will be an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
