We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organization by overseeing accounting processes, maintaining compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and executive financial reporting.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses while monitoring performance against company goals.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure financial accuracy, minimize risk, and safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, identify opportunities for operational improvements, and support strategic business decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while promoting accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP, or similar accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams in a fast-paced business environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to executive leadership.
