General Summary:

2-10 years of Software Engineering or related experience.

Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Python/Javascript.

In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers.

Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts.

Strong problem solving skills - look at big picture and unorthodox ways to solve challenging performance problems

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize Software for high performance and low power.

Run benchmarks for applications and performs critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met.

Develops new benchmarks for upcoming areas and workloads across product segments

Understands software workloads at next level (libraries, compiler, assembly, runtime, algorithms) and evaluates optimization opportunities

Collaborates with internal (CPU, Compiler, Kernel) and external (benchmark vendors, open source community) teams to implement solutions that meet CPU performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
