We are seeking a Direct Digital Control (DDC) Specialist for the Facilities Related Control Systems (FRCS) Support Services contract. This project will provide knowledge, training, and support to assist the U.S. Marine Corps Public Works Department in the areas of FRCS, Cybersecurity, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Authority To Operate/Authority to Connect (ATO/ATC) package upkeep and maintenance, USMC Cloud and Cloud-Based A&A support, and data center support/administration for the FRCS virtualized environment, servers, and associated applications. This is a full-time, on-site position at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, and satellite locations near Camp Lejeune, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within normal business hours (7:00 am to 5:00 pm).

So, what will the Direct Digital Control Specialist at Terrestris do?
The Direct Digital Control Specialist will be a key personnel position for the Facilities Related Control Systems (FRCS) Support Services contract. The DDC Specialist configures, integrates, secures, and maintains DDC and building automation systems supporting compliant, efficient, mission-ready FRCS operations enterprise-wide. This position is contingent upon contract award.
What does a typical day look like for a Direct Digital Control Specialist?
You will:
- Configure, integrate, and maintain DDC and building automation systems, including Metasys, Niagara 4, Alerton, Honeywell, Trend, KMC, and Loytec platforms, ensuring reliable HVAC and Facilities Related Control System (FRCS) operations.
- Install, administer, and optimize DDC servers, virtualized environments, SQL databases, and Automated Metering Systems while configuring graphics, alarms, trends, schedules, and BACnet/IP, BACnet MSTP, N2, and LON communications.
- Perform software installations, security updates, patches, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability remediation for DDC, metering, and building automation platforms while maintaining compliance with DISA STIGs, RMF, NIST, and USMC cybersecurity requirements.
- Support HVAC/DDC commissioning, system integration, inspections, sequence-of-operations validation, discrepancy resolution, and field controller connectivity for renovation and new construction projects connected to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network.
- Develop and maintain accreditation documentation, POA&Ms, technical procedures, configuration baselines, and system documentation while collaborating with cybersecurity, facilities, and engineering teams to sustain secure and compliant FRCS operations.
What qualifications do you look for?

- A current Secret clearance is required.

- State’s Driver’s License.
- Experienced in the use and administration of Nutanix Hyperconverged virtualized environments in support of FRCS servers and applications.
- Experience in the use of SQL and Microsoft Server software (current versions).
- Experience in Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST V2).
- Knowledgeable of electrical and mechanical trades and code requirements.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or security administration of Unix or Windows network/systems.
- Experience with HBSS.
- Experience with Automated Metering systems.
- Knowledge of the USMC DEVSECOPS policy and its applicability to support ICS/OT systems/operations.
- Knowledgeable of electrical and mechanical trades and code requirements.
- Experience installing Metasys on servers and building graphics/trends/alarms/scheduling.
- Experience in ICS control systems - Metasys, Niagara AX platform, Alerton, Honeywell, Trend, KMC, and American Automatrix and Loytec.
- Experience in BACnet/MSTP, BACnet over IP, N2 and LON.
- Experience in performing software security updates, system patches, software patches, and version upgrades on Metasys, Niagara, Itron, and Honeywell software products.
- Experience installing software and maintaining Itron Fixed-Network meter data collection systems.
- Expert in the USMC A&A process to include MCCAST 2.0, RMF, DFIA, and CNSSI 1253.
- Experience creating/managing POAMs.
- Experience with DISA STIGs.
- Experience interpreting/implementing standards and policies in accordance with NIST 800-53/DoDI 8510.01.
- Experience with vulnerability/risk analysis.
- Ability and experience to assist with the owner's cyber ops team in maintaining the existing field-level SBC connection points to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), and Niagara 4 FX14 Server solution, according to the existing Camp Lejeune Public Works Department ATO.
- Ability and experience to assist in maintaining existing SBC-level Graphical User Interface (GUI) set-up and field-level user access roles.
- Ability and experience to assist in maintaining existing SBC-level Alarm Extensions, Trending Extensions, and Alarm & Trending Portal Configurations in accordance with the existing CLNC DDC Specifications.
- Ability and experience to assist in maintaining existing Niagara 4 data Normalization standards, as defined in the CLNC DDC Specifications.
- Ability and experience to provide Site Discrepancy Logs for each field-level SBC for Electrical, Mechanical, and/or DDC issues requiring Base Maintenance and/or the installing contractor to resolve under project warranty.
- Ability and experience to assist in maintaining field-level connections from the existing SBC to the field-level DDC controllers. This will be done through existing BACnet/MSTP integration (MAC address, Device ID, BACnet Instance, Device Name, etc.) and does not include physical wiring modifications.
- Ability and experience to assist with, as needed, pre-installation meetings for all renovation, new buildings, and any construction that has an HVAC /DDC system associated.
- Ability and experience to assist in the inspection process of all HVAC/DDC installation projects.
- Ability and experience to verify all sequences of operation and ensure all equipment is running properly by the design intent for all renovation/new build projects that have HVAC/DDC associated with the project.
- Ability and experience to assist with connections to renovated/newly built buildings to the Niagara GUI.

- ITILv4 Foundations.
- ICS-VLP Certificate 210W-01 – 10.
- RMF Training (USMC specific).
- CCENT or CCNA.
- Sec+.
- CISSP.
- Microsoft Certs.
