Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical Services support the planning, engineering, and construction of complex projects, and our specialists are leading experts in their fields.   Step into Your New RoleKleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical  Engineer / Project Manager . The position may be based in Kleinfelder's Central Division. The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience with developing new business pursuits and a solid client base
• Coordinate and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs
• Manage a portfolio of projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, budget, quality and schedule
• Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support.
• Mentor and manage junior staff and project level geotechnical professionals through project performance
• Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis.
• Coordinate tasks and manage medium to large size multi-disciplined projects with guidance and interaction by senior operations/technical staff.
• Prepare or review designs, reports and calculations on complex projects. 

 Strong analytical skills are required in areas including:

• soil and rock classification,
• seismic evaluations,
• slope stability analysis,
• earth retention systems,
• shallow and deep foundation design,
• construction support, and
• soil improvement techniques
• pipeline, power transmission, 
• Solar experience are a plus 

  Education & Experience:

• 10-15 years of related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License 
• Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail.

 Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed.
