Retail Manager, Grocery

We are hiring a Retail Manager, Grocery at our PriceSmart Foods location in King's Crossing, BC.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.

• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.

• Holding departments accountable for operational standards.

• Supporting the store’s management team with team member relations.

• Communicating key messages to the store’s management team and team members.

• Fostering relationships with suppliers on product assortment and achieve better costing.

• Assist in creating merchandising plans from previous experience and knowledge of the department(s).

• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.

• Ensuring accurate stocktaking in the department(s).

You have:

• A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a customer service environment.

• Food Safe Certification.

• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.

• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.

• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

• Post-Secondary education with a business focus (considered an asset).

• Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (considered an asset).

Compensation Details:

$50,000.00 - $65,000.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
