About the Role
As a Senior Social Account Manager, you'll partner closely with the Account Director to lead the day-to-day running of one or more client accounts, ensuring work not only gets delivered seamlessly, but continuously evolves to deliver stronger business and creative outcomes.

Beyond delivery, you'll play a key role in shaping the account's commercial health, strategic direction and long-term growth. You'll build trusted client relationships, raise the quality of work across the team and create an environment where people can do their best work while delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

- Drive the overall rhythm of the account, ensuring priorities, timelines and resources remain aligned.
- Build trusted relationships with day-to-day and senior client stakeholders, acting as the primary operational lead.
- Anticipate risks early and proactively develop solutions before issues escalate.
- Ensure all work delivered aligns with client objectives while maintaining agency standards for quality.
Team Management
- Manage and develop a team of Account Managers and Senior Account Executives.
- Allocate workload and resources across the team to ensure efficient delivery and balanced capacity.
- Set clear expectations, priorities and ways of working across the account.
- Provide regular coaching, feedback and development to support career progression and build future account leaders.
- Review work before it reaches senior leadership or clients, ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture.
Strategic & Creative Leadership
- Champion strategic thinking across all social initiatives, ensuring work solves business challenges rather than simply delivering outputs.
- Guide creative development by providing clear, constructive feedback that strengthens ideas and execution.
- Challenge briefs and identify opportunities to improve strategic direction.
- Lead conversations around content evolution, ensuring recommendations are grounded in audience insights, platform behaviours and business objectives.
- Continuously raise the standard of creative work delivered across the account.
Commercial Management
- Partner with the Account Director to support the commercial health of the account.
- Develop a strong understanding of account retainers, project scopes, revenue and profitability.
- Identify commercial risks, scope changes and revenue opportunities.
- Support project costings, forecasting and resource planning.
- Participate actively in finance WIP sessions and contribute to commercial discussions.
- Ensure projects are delivered within scope while balancing quality, timelines and profitability.
Cross-functional Management
- Lead collaboration across Strategy, Creative, Production, Community Management, Media and Data & Analytics teams.
- Align cross-functional teams around shared objectives, priorities and timelines.
- Remove blockers and improve ways of working to enable efficient delivery.
- Ensure all disciplines work together to deliver one integrated client solution.
- Maintain strong communication across teams to ensure seamless execution.
Delivery Management
- Oversee the successful delivery of multiple campaigns and always-on workstreams.
- Maintain visibility across all projects, proactively managing dependencies, timelines and competing priorities.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the highest standard.
- Continuously improve operational processes and workflows to increase team efficiency.
- Act as the escalation point for delivery challenges and guide the team through complex situations.
Client Partnership & Growth
- Build trusted client relationships by understanding their business, challenges and long-term objectives.
- Lead client meetings, workshops and presentations with confidence.
- Provide proactive recommendations that strengthen client partnerships and improve business outcomes.
- Support the Account Director in identifying opportunities for organic growth and additional revenue.
- Represent the agency as a strategic partner, not simply a delivery team.
